Smaller Spaces, part 2
by Darren on Oct.10, 2010, under Sponsorship
As we’re getting nearer to Rally GB 2010 I’ve had a few people ask about smaller spaces, and more details about them, so I’ll put the details here for anyone who’s reading this:
You will get:
A space of 300mm x 50mm on the car
Single-colour (black) text is provided for this price – if you want anything else then you will need to provide it yourself and send it to us for us to apply onto the car.
If you want a larger space, you can buy multiples of the above size – they will, of course, be placed together in the formation you want (either side-by-side or above)
The location of the space on the car is not yet known – it will depend on the number of takers we get for the larger spaces on the sponsorship page, but it will be in a good location on the car, not on the sills or something like that – it’ll be somewhere readable when the car is photographed. If you want a specific area, then please contact us to work something out.
Buying a space is simple – send a PayPal payment of £20 to darren (at) skodarallyblog.fun – obviously this is an email address and you’d replace the (at) with an @ sign – and include a message with your payment with the text you want on the car.
Any questions, please email me or use the contact form on the sponsorship page
Smaller Spaces

In response to several requests made at Rally Day, we are offering £20 areas on the car – a number of people showed an interest in sponsoring us personally, so for £20 you will get a 300mmx50mm area on the car for your message, which can be anything you like (within reason). So if you have something to put on the car, whether it’s your name, a message for someone you know or something else, you can support us and do that at the same time. If you have any questions, then please use the contact form
Don’t Buy It…

… rent it!
We’re pleased to announce another new sponsor, Don’t Buy it, Rent it, who specialise in low-price car lease deals – have a look at their website for more details. Value for money is something we both appreciate!
More sponsors

Having had several enquiries, we have made more space on the front of the car for some £20 spaces (as all the current ones on the car had sold out), so we’re pleased to welcome Alex Lake and Will from Motorsportforums and Briskoda, who now have pride of place on the front of the car. If anyone else wants another equivalent-sized space, please contact us and we’ll see what we can do!
…and another

I’m pleased to say that space W has now been taken, by Unlucky Racing – more details on them to follow soon.
More Sponsors

I’m pleased to say we’ve attracted a few more sponsors – Peter Garforth (who is yet to decide his message), plus www.the-natural-therapist.co.uk, and A Henderson has taken slot C on the car. We have had a number of enquiries about larger slots on the car as well, and hopefully over the next few days I will have a major announcement to make with a deal with a sponsor for the car for the event. In the meantime, head on over to the Sponsorship page and see which part of the car you’d like your name or business on!
Top Oils

I am both pleased and proud to say that we have our first confirmed sponsorship, from www.top-oils.co.uk who have taken three spots on the car. Full details of their involvement will follow in a later post, but at the moment I would ask you to check out their excellent product range, some of which will definitely be helping us compete in Rally GB 2010. We are still in discussion with several other parties about sponsorship, so things are looking positive for this year’s event, and remember that space is available on the car from just £20!
Sponsorship

As anyone who’s ever competed in Motorsport will know, it’s expensive. Formula One cars cost millions of pounds to develop, and millions of pounds to run. Rally cars are not cheap either – you won’t get any change out of £600,000 for a WRC car, and then you have to run it, which costs a lot too – hundreds of pounds per mile if some are to be believed.
Anyway, that’s the same, even for us, although at a different level (minus a couple of zeros!). I really don’t think it would be possible to do a WRC event for less money than us, and that’s clearly been part of our appeal over the years. But this year we want to raise money to compete in Rally GB via sponsorship, so I have put together a guide which shows what areas of the car are available, and what benefits come with them – larger areas on the car will come with time in the car at September’s RallyDay at Castle Combe, but will also give maximum exposure for your company or product. I have started advertising the car in a number of places, and so far the results have been positive. So if you have a business or product you’d like to see advertised at the largest sporting spectator event in the UK in November, then please have a look at the Sponsorship page, or download the PDF. If you have any ideas how we can help your company with the car, then please get in touch.
